Longmont Oktoberfest dropped by producer

Boulder Creek Events announced that it will no longer produce Longmont Oktoberfest, an event it has organized for the last three years.

The event was created by, and originally produced as a fundraiser for, the Longmont Symphony Orchestra. It occurs every September in Roosevelt Park in Longmont.

“BCE has been proud to carry on this community tradition, but now it's time to pass the torch on to another organization” said Meg Denbow, BCE's spokeswoman, according to a news release.

The orchestra seeks a new producer for the event.

“We are hopeful maybe a local business or club will contact the symphony in the coming weeks to see what might be possible to carry on the tradition,” former Longmont Symphony Orchestra Board President Carol Minelli said, according to the release.
