First of all there are only six brands who are allowed to call their beer “Oktoberfest Beer”. These are: 

Spaten 

Löwenbräu

Augustiner

Hacker-Pschor

Hofbräu and 

Paulaner. 

Best Oktoberfest Beer

All of the six are brewed in Munich by Munich located breweries which is the reason why they can call their beer Oktoberfest Beer. So if you want to know what the best Oktoberfest Beer is you can chose only between these six as any other beer calling itself Oktoberfest beer won’t be genuine.

So again what’s the best Oktoberfest Beer?

To tell the truth my favorite is Augustiner and this is actually the brand most people in Munich prefer. In the Augustiner tent, they still use the traditional wooden barrels as opposed to the modern kegs. Though I have to add that there’s no big difference in taste, so I’d give you the advice to get the beer in the tent you can get in. Normally after some beer no one would be able to differentiate one beer from another.
